IADT Dun Laoghaire will hold a summer camp for secondary school girls from 3rd – 5th year for 3 days from June 17th to June 19th 2019. The summer campwill focus on girls only participation. It will be completely hands-on with students developing games, programming robots and coming up with solutions to current problems.

Each student will receive a goodie bag with t-shirt and freebies. Lunch will also be provided each day.

The event is aimed at addressing the gender imbalance that exists in STEM education and STEM careers. We will do this by reaching out to young women, to show them that there are plenty of female role models in STEM careers. We aim to show young women that technology can be creative and inspiring, and their creative talent is necessary in the technological world.

This is a free event but places are limited so booking is essential to secure a place.
