Trad @MPP
The Maynooth Post Primary School Irish Traditional Music Group was established in 2010 and has grown from strength to strength ever since.
It is comprised of a mixture of students from each year group and all musicians, singers, and dancers are welcome to be a part of our group.
The group meets once a week for rehearsal and here, we learn new tunes, revise old tunes, and share our own repertoires with each other.
Each year the Trad group loves to perform for the community by visiting various venues in the town of Maynooth such as Maynooth Boys NS, Presentation Girls School Maynooth and Moyglare Nursing Home.
The Trad group also takes part in our school's annual Christmas Concert and we play a big role in Seachtain na Gaeilge which is always a fantastic week of Irish music & Dance in Maynooth Post Primary School.
We as a group, are very proud to showcase and promote Ireland's wonderful tradition of music and dance within our school and welcome all to take part.
