TRUE! — nervous — very, very dreadfully nervous I had been and am; I was coming home at 12 o’clock. It was very dark and I was alone. I was afraid – someone was making spooky noises. I was beside a graveyard; my legs were shaking. I saw a shadow behind me but I was too afraid to turn around properly and look to see who was there behind me.
Then I started walking faster and faster. I stopped at the front door of my house; I turned around very fast v- no one was there. I took the keys from my pocket; I opened the door; No one was at home; I sat on a chair and tried to relax. The phone rang; I was starting to panic; Step by step I started walking; very slowly I put my hand on the phone and very slowly put the phone to my ear and a man said: “I’m 5 doors away. I’m coming for you”. My heart started beating faster and faster. The phone rang again. The man said: “I’m 2 houses away – be ready!”.
I was starting to think “where could I hide?”. Someone rang the bell. I opened the door… A man wearing a mask said: “Boo! I’m here to get some sweets!” |
