Learning Support
All teachers help, support and cater for the individual needs of students in their classrooms. Student progress is monitored continuously throughout their schooling at Maynooth Post Primary School. We analyse student progress and use this information to identify students who require additional support. We liaise with students, parents, teachers, management and other relevant stakeholders. We prepare applications for additional resources for students including supports for State Examinations, SNA support etc. We support students through in-class support, small group tuition, individual support, access to an SNA or a combination of the above.
Maynooth Post Primary School is guided by the Department of Education and Skills in the distribution of resources to students with additional educational needs. Resources are allocated based on the particular needs of the students, supports may be short or long term depending on what is required.
