environment in which all students can achieve their full potential. We value the unique contribution of each individual in an
atmosphere of tolerance, partnership and shared respect.

The Junior Gael Linn debating team travelled with Ms. Ní Mhaonaigh to Carlow town on Wednesday 24th November for the second round of this year’s Comórtas Uí Chadhain. The debate took place in Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach. In each debate two teams get knocked out and two teams progress to the next round. Iarbhunscoil Mhaigh Nuad (Maynooth), Coláiste de hÍde (Tallaght), Gaelcholáiste na Mara (Arklow) and Gaelcholáiste Chéitinn (Clonmel) all debated the motion “Is aoibinn beatha an phinsinéara” which translates that “A pensioners life is wonderful”. It was a tough competition and quite difficult to argue in favour of this motion but Ciana, Ciara and Róisín handled it very well. Peadar Óg gave his support in the crowd.

Iarbhunscoil Mhaigh Nuad and Gaelcholáiste na Mara were victorious and made it out of Babhta Cheatharlach. As a result, the team has now qualified for the Craobh Réigiúnach (Regional Final) which will take place in the Glen Royal Hotel in Maynooth on Thursday 9th December at 5pm. ALL WELCOME TO ATTEND THIS EVENT!!
