Ciana Ní Tharlaigh writes about her experience as captain of the Junior Gael-Linn debating team 2010-2011.

"I really enjoyed being on the debating team. At first I was really nervous speaking in front of people but debating gives you so much confidence. I then began to really enjoy it! You have to practice your speech a lot but this means that you feel confident and relaxed on the day of the debate. There was always a great atmosphere on the bus trips to each of the debates. It was a wonderful feeling to represent my school. I really enjoyed being a member of the debating team and I would highly recommend it to everyone!" - Ciana.
