Physics deals with the laws and forces governing natural phenomena and includes heat, light electricity and magnetism. It is of key importance in technology and particularly relevant for those interested in specialising in most branches of Engineering. Some Paramedical careers will involve the study of it, e.g. Radiography, Physiotherapy etc
Course content:
- Electricity: Production of light, heat, movement (motors), Semiconductors – Electronics, Production of electricity.
- Light: Nature of light, Optics – lenses, mirrors, optical instruments.
- Sound: Nature of sound. – vibration of strings (music)
- Mechanics: Linear–Movement, Newton’s Laws, forces, gravity, circular motion.
- Heat: Thermometers & temperature, Amount of heat in liquids, solids and gases.
