We believe that your time at Maynooth Post Primary offers a wonderful opportunity for each student to explore and develop their talents and interests. In addition to providing opportunities for students to excel in their studies, at Maynooth Post Primary we also encourage all our students to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, groups and events. These provide excellent, supervised opportunities for recreation, and also opportunities to develop team-working, problem-solving and communication skills, whilst furthering friendships and having fun!
Lunchtime and After-School Clubs
In Maynooth Post Primary, we offer a wide range of lunchtime and after-school clubs organised by staff and students. These are a vital part of the school experience and offer our students the opportunity to be part of a wider community and to develop their social skills as well as exploring new interests or talents.

Trips and Visits
Maynooth Post Primary offers a wide range of trips and visits, designed to enhance the curriculum and to foster the personal development of our students.
These trips and visits include, subject specific trips e.g. farm visits, faith education based trips to the synagogue or Grand Mosque, theatre shows, visits to cultural events, Dáil Éireann, outdoor activity centres, the zoo, the cinema and seasonal events including the Christmas Pantomime. We do our best to ensure that the events are as affordable as possible and that all students have the opportunity to participate in them – should there be any financial impediment regarding a school trip please contact the school and we will do our best to support you.
Sports
Maynooth Post Primary has a long history of sporting success and our students have many opportunities to participate in a wide-range of sporting activities. In addition to PE, all students are encouraged to participate in the many different sporting activities on offer within the school in order to promote athletic fitness, team-spirit and a healthy competitiveness.
