Maynooth Education Campus 38 Patrician Secondary School Newbridge 19
Our 1st Year rugby team got their campaign off to the perfect start with a 38-19 win over PSS Newbridge. An exciting mix of soft hands, slick backline play and big carries from the forwards ensured the lads went in 26-12 ahead at half time before sealing the win in the second half. It was an exciting game and a great opportunity for some new players to get involved. Seán Lavin, Zalan Istvan Csabai and Ruaidhrí Smith all crossed the whitewash twice each with Ruaidhrí also kicking four conversions. Many thanks also to the 2nd and 5th Year Junior/ Senior players who were on hand to support and mentor what will hopefully be exciting editions to next years Junior Rugby team!
