A Day in the Country

A group of twenty-five TY students have spent a day last week in Ovoca Manor, a Retreat and Adventure Centre located in the stunning Vale of Avoca, Co Wicklow as part of their spiritual well-being. The day was packed with different activities and fun that involved high elements such as the climbing wall or the leap of faith, and team building challenges engaging. workshops.

The students also had a workshop in which they explored how to handle the storms we encounter in life; there was good sharing and an interesting discussion developed. The purpose of the day was to give the students during Lent the space and opportunity to explore deeper questions about life and belief, with the firm conviction that spiritual care is an integral of our well-being.

A special word of thanks to Darren and his team from Scripture Union, an interdenominational Christian movement that encourages young people to develop leadership skills for life and meet God through activities, and prayer. Also to the Maynooth Chaplaincy Team Pablo, Connor and Cherise.
