Annual Homeless Campaign 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As you may remember, every year a “we care at Christmas” campaign is organised within the school to provide essential provision to, and show solidarity with two homeless centres in Dublin, The Lighthouse Centre and the Capuchin Centre (information linked below). Normally, we ask for donations of food, clothes and toiletries. However, this year, our student team are unable to physically collect these items in school due to Covid restrictions.
We are therefore asking each family associated with the school community to make a donation of cash instead.
We are asking for
The price of a cup of coffee (2 euro)
or
The price of 3 selection boxes (5 euro)
or
The price of a toy (10 euro)
or
Whatever you can spare
This year, more than any year, demand for these essential services is higher than normal. Both centres are under pressure to help provide basic provisions and some Christmas treats for both children and adults.
Our student team will be collecting on the morning of Tuesday 8th December at all main entrances to school.
We thank you all in advance for any donations given.
