Lelaina Butler Whyte (4th year MPPS) and Keziah Mongwe (3rd year MCC) have made their way to the final of the Aoife Begley Memorial Debate Competition at Maynooth University. The two students have placed highly in their debates throughout the year, receiving multiple commendations for their speeches. This years final is due to be incredibly competitive, with students from seven different schools debating the one motion. Their motion is "This House Believes The Continuing Research and Development Of Artificial Intelligence Will Do More Harm Than Good". Both students are competing against each other in opposing this motion.
The debate will take place on Tuesday 17 April 2018 at Maynooth University. We wish the girls the very best of luck and know they will do themselves and their schools proud!
